Of Indian origin, now based in Denver, Colorado, USA, acclaimed International Concert Artist, Vocal Coach & Consultant, Deirdre Lobo comes from an extremely artistic family with her mother Celia Lobo, India’s only living Opera Diva; and Ashley Lobo an International Choreographer. Deirdre is winner of the GRAND PRIZE in the Messiah Soloist Competition, San Diego, California (Dec 4, 2011), and SECOND PRIZE in the Barry Alexander International Vocal Competition, New York (Dec 19, 2011). A versatile artist, Deirdre has performed and continues to do so as soloist in concert, and in recital internationally. She has performed close to 100+ concerts with some of the top international orchestras and concert series in her musical career, having performed in Europe, the Philippines, United States, and India.
With 35+ years of experience in the music business, Deirdre has coached, and directed singers, choirs, actors, and speakers in classes, presentations, productions, and workshops worldwide. Some of Deirdre’s students have gone on to have international careers in singing, acting, and dance, including Tara Sutaria, Pia Sutaria, Meher Mistry, Shiamak Davar, Dhawal Chandawadkar, Hannah Bautista, Aditi Paul, and Abhilasha Chellam, to name a few.
Deirdre has worked with students from the ages of 6 years and up and at all levels of vocal and musical development. Some of her students have performed on Broadway or in major productions such as South Pacific, Les Miserables, Grease, Beauty and the Beast, Monsoon Wedding, Scrooge, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc. It is with her versatile and holistic technique, and approach to vocal coaching that students are able to sing ANY genre of music (Pop, Broadway, Hip Hop, Blues, Jazz, Western Classical, Indian Classical, Bollywood) or speak with elegance and finesse when it comes to her speaking courses.
Deirdre has done 65+ workshops worldwide; and directed 17+ musical and stage productions worldwide including: Aladdin Junior, Annie Junior, Godspell Junior, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White, and many others. In 2014, Deirdre was hired as Vocal Director for Jesus Christ Superstar in India, where she worked with 45 singers and actors, and had the honor of working with India’s leading theatre director and actor, the late Alyque Padamsee.
Deirdre has been coaching students virtually via her International Vocal Studio www.deirdrelobo.com from 2010, and currently has a huge presence in India, and the United States. She prepares students for Trinity College of Music, London College of Music, RockSchool, and Royal Conservatory of Music examinations remotely in the areas of Western Classical, Rock & Pop, and Musical Theatre. In 2015, Deirdre founded the Celia Lobo Academy of Voice (CLAV) www.clavusa.com to carry on the musical legacy of her mother CELIA LOBO, India’s ONLY Opera Diva! With its very high standard curriculum, training, certificate, and specialized programs for aspiring singers this Vocal Academy continues online and in person under the sole guidance of Deirdre. CLAV is not just a high end vocal program but also a mentoring program where students are mentored to get to the performing level for a professional career. Recently Deirdre designed her exclusive Deirdre Complete Vocal Transformation (DCVT) program – a Six Month exclusive program for students wishing to pursue music more seriously.
As a wellness coach, Deirdre has worked with students with special needs, and speech impediments. She has also worked with Stroke & Parkinson’s patients to regain their speaking & singing voices. As a speech coach, Deirdre has done workshops for Toastmasters in the United States, and Canada providing vocal technique to speakers and executives, training them to project their voices better, reduce their accents, and to speak with elegance and finesse via her Executive Speaking program.
With the onset of the pandemic, in 2019 seeds were being sown for the formation of a performing arts institute designed to serve students globally online, and offline as a Pre-College Performing Arts program. In Sept 2020, One Voice Institute of Music and Art (OVIMA Global) www.ovimaglobal.com was born, serving students in India, USA, and the UAE, offering Non-Certification, and Certification courses for students in all areas of the performing arts in Group, and One-on-One classes. With its collaboration with other schools OVIMA is able to prepare and send up students for music examinations: Trinity College of Music, UK: Royal Conservatory of Music, Canada; RockSchool, UK; and the London College of Music, UK. OVIMA’s highly trained instructors from some of the top universities in the world are based globally in Australia, Philippines, Argentina, USA, and India.

Priyanka Bangeraa is an enthusiastic and ambitious person who has always had a keen interest in the performing arts. Growing up in Delhi, she developed a strong appreciation for culture and the arts. She firmly believes that through the arts, one can make a positive impact on society.Having been involved in the Performing Arts industry for over a decade, Priyanka has dedicated her time to managing operations and events for The Danceworx Performing Arts Academy. While she found fulfillment in her work, there was an unshakeable sense of something missing within her. This inner voice led her towards entrepreneurship, prompting her to take the leap and pursue a new path. Throughout her career, Priyanka had often envisioned a more structured and accessible approach to ART education in India. It wasn’t until she crossed paths with Deirdre and learned about her global initiative that everything fell into place. As an observer by nature, Priyanka admires how all aspects of life are interconnected. She firmly believes that anything is possible if you have faith in yourself…and so the journey continues.
Coming from a musical family Danielle has been brought up listening to all kinds of music including jazz, classical rock and a lot of gospel. She has been singing since the age of 2 and has been in a few stage productions including Raell Padamsee’s ‘The Sound of Music’. She has also participated in and won various singing competitions through the years. Besides that, she has lent her voice to various jingles and even performed at the Lakme Fashion Show ’22. She is currently an advanced student of Deirdre Lobo D’Cunha.
In 2022, Pianist Jiawei Lyu earned both a BM and MM degree at the Juilliard School of Music as a full scholarship student of Jerome Lowenthal.
Ms. Lyu was born in Yixing, China, in 1997. At age 10, she began studies at the Shanghai Conservatory’s Middle School, earning the school’s highest possible entrance score.
Between 2015 and 2018, Jiawei taught masterclasses, performed recitals, and presented lectures in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Nanjing, among other cultural centers. In July 2016, Ms. Lyu was sponsored in a recital at the Yixing Grand Theater by the China Bureau of Culture.
In the U.S., Ms. Lyu has frequently performed at New York’s Lincoln Center and at the Juilliard School, including as part of the New Juilliard Ensemble and Piano Scope.
As an active exponent of Historic Instrument Performance, Jiawei has been a member of the Catskills Mountain Academy of Fortepiano, where she has performed a number of Mozart’s sonatas.
Ms. Lyu has performed in masterclasses throughout China and the U.S., including ones given by Gary Graffman, Robert Levin, and Robert MacDonald.
Currently, Jiawei Lyu studies at the University of Denver with Dr. Steven Mayer where she is earning a degree in the Lamont School of Music’s prestigious Artist Diploma program.
Graduated from the Berklee College of Music in 1990 with a Dual Major Diploma in Jazz Composition & Performance in Sax and Flute, having done so on a full scholarship. His teachers include Bill Pierce, Andy McGhee, Matt Marvuglio, Hal Crook, Ed Tomassi, Alfredo Ianelli, Gary Burton, Ken Pullig, Lyle Mays, Manolo Juarez and others. He has recorded four albums as a solo artist with his own compositions and participated in more than a hundred other projects together with great artists such as: Al Di Meola, Bob Moses, Dino Saluzzi, Fito Paez, Agustin Pereyra Lucena, Ruben Rada, Anacrusa and many others. He has made concert tours throughout the United States, Brazil, Europe, Israel and Argentina as a soloist in various Jazz, Tango, Bossa Nova, Argentine Folklore and Symphonic Orchestras. He currently works as a professor of Arrangements and Orchestration, Harmony, Improvisation Techniques and Ensembles at the Tamaba College of Music in Buenos Aires and continues performing and recording as a professional musician.
Jessie earned his bachelor’s degree in Music major Piano Performance and minor in voice at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila,Philippines. During his College days, he participated in Piano competitions,masterclasses and outreach concerts.In 2009, he performed with Soprano Rachelle Gerodias and Tenor Andrew Fernando at the Ceaser’s Palace in Las Vegas,Nevada. In 2008, he won 3rd prize at the UST Conservatory of Music Piano Concerto Competition.
In 2007, he performed Rachmaninoff Piano suite no.1 at the Equitable PCI Bank tower with the UST Piano Ensemble.
In 2005, he participated in various outreach music concerts performing in different state universities in Central Luzon.
Jessie is also a singer. He is an alumnus of the World-reknowned UST Singers under the baton of Prof. Fidel Calalang Jr. During his time with choir from 2006 to 2014, he participated in 10 international tours in Europe, Asia and the United States and was part of the batch who won the coveted Choir of the World Luciano Pavarotti at the Llangollen Eisteddfodd in Wales, United Kingdom.
In over 16 years as a Piano teacher, Jessie has taught students of all ages.His students participated in Piano festivals and competitions in Manila.
Bernardo Soler award winning Filipino Classical guitarist from Melbourne, Australia. In 1989 , he graduated with a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical guitar from the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music ( Manila Philippines) under the tutelage of Mario Rodriguez. In 1992 he Studied at the Melba Conservatorium of Music ( Melbourne, Australia) under the tutelage of Jochen Schubert.
He has enjoyed enormous success in guitar competitions. In October 1981, he won first prize in the “Concourso de Guitarra” from the Centro Cultural de la Embajada de Espana in celebration of La Semana de Hispanidad. November 1981, first prize in the “National Music Competition for Young Artist” (Intermediate level), Philippines. October 1982, Grand Prix winner at the Sixth Philippine Guitar Festival. November 1982, second prize in the Southeast Asia
Guitar Festival held in Jakarta , Indonesia.
November 1987, first prize in the National Music Competition for Young Artist (category C), Philippines. November 1988 he represented the Philippines at the “Concourso Internacional de Ejucacion Musical Dr. Luis Sigall”, held at Vina del Mar, Chile. In 1994, he represented the Philippines at the “Primer Concourso Internacional de Guitarra Augustin Barrios”, held in Asuncion, Paraguay.
Throughout his student years he participated in master classes with famous guitarists, namely: John Williams, David Russel, Manuel Barrueco, David Tanenbaum, Stephen Rak, Leo Witozinski, and Timothy Walker. He has performed all over the Philippines, Indonesia, South America, United States of America, and Australia.
At present he is traveling around Australia and overseas performing in various music festivals.
