Overview
Sing-Along Class for Adults and Seniors is for those who want a time and place to Sing and have Fun! The OVIMA group teacher/facilitator will lead the class in singing pop songs, folk songs, oldies, musical theater hits, and we will take requests!
This class is perfect for people who might be a little shy about singing in a group. In the online format, the teacher will play guitar or a karaoke track and lead the group. While singing, you will see the faces of the rest of the class, but the participants will not hear each other. Each singer will essentially be singing a duet with the teacher.
Sing-Along Classes for Adults and Seniors are held once a week for 60 minutes. At the beginning of every class there will be a brief vocal warm up and discussion about basic vocal techniques that make singing more expressive, healthy, and fun!
During each class we’ll sing as many as 10 songs. Easy to read song lyrics will appear on the screen for each song. The teacher will select a range of sing-along hits for each class and will take requests from the participants. This is NOT a class in LEVELS.

Prerequisites
Adults and Seniors are able to register for this Beginners Sing a Long class. No previous experience is needed. Classes. These classes are specially designed for students to learn the basics of singing in a FUN manner and to help them relax from their busy day. For Seniors this is a class to sing the music they love and have a great time.
A student’s interest in music, and their eagerness to discover and explore their voices are some of the prerequisites. Additionally, students should have an open mind to learning. Bring in the songs you would like to sing a long.
Attendance
If a student wants to be successful, then he/she must attend their classes regularly as participation and practice are two major components for success. Students / parents are required to notify OVIMA Global and the instructor in advance of any absences. For Sing for Fun Classes there is just one assigned day each month in the Session for Make Up Classes. Students are NOT PERMITTED to miss more than ONE class in the Session. If a student is missing a class the OVIMA office must be informed 24 hours in advance.

- Good Broadband Connection
- Have the Zoom app downloaded to their computer
- Microphone, Headphones, Amp.
- Bluetooth speaker or / and additional device to play a track on
Practice
Students MUST put in at least 30 mins of practice daily to see the difference from one week to the next. Additionally they are required to send in Practice Videos on the WhatSapp Group Chats so that instructors are able to guide them and constantly monitor their progress in as well as out of the classroom.

Performance Platforms
At the end of each session, students may perform at least 1 song at the culminating performance. The song is to be performed from memory. Students must perform with expression, connecting with the audience.
Students are additionally provided other platforms to perform such as Jam Sessions; Seasonal Concerts; and Voice Performance Seminars in promoting OVIMA Global’s constant effort to develop CONFIDENCE & SELF-EXPRESSION and overall performance in students. Students are able to perform for NO EXTRA COST.
OVIMA Global provides FREE PRACTICE CLASSES twice a week where students are able to come together to practice their songs. In the 12-17 and 18+ age groups, one student is chosen each week to facilitate the practice. In the 7-11 age groups junior teachers or student volunteers from the 12-17 or 18+ age groups can facilitate the practice.
Students facilitating classes are able to earn SERVICE POINTS for their schools, and receive a CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE from OVIMA Global. All practice sessions are recorded.
