Drama For Fun | Advanced Level

Designed for people who just want to sing and have Fun!
OVIMA works with its students in a holistic way developing the student individually, and not just artistically and musically.

Overview

Advanced Drama For Fun helps the student build on what they have learnt at the Intermediate level in reaching their goals for success. Students continue to learn to act and perform with the correct usage of breath, vowels and enunciation. They build on techniques they have learnt at the Intermediate level in helping them speak with clarity, focus, finesse, and elegance. During this course, they continute to work on elements like creative thinking, thinking out of the box, attention to detail and minor performance like dialogues and short scenes. Each of these activities help students gain poise, self-confidence and creativity. Students do warm-ups, improvisation, and theatre games to help their creativity and eventually a good understanding of the written word.

The course is for students ages 7 years and up who have taken Intermediate Drama For Fun, and also for students to continue building their confidence. This course continues to build on what has been taught to students at the Intermediate level, but now at the Advanced level for providing them a platform to explore and discover themselves in a Fun way. Students stay at the Advanced level until they have completed the the level requirements.

At the end of the session students do a graded performance. At the end of the year, students receive a Certificate of Achievement for the year if they have completed the Advanced Level requirements.

Students also receive a Progress Report at the end of each session indicating the progress they have made from the beginning to the end of the session with respect to technique, performance, class participation, practice, and attendance.
